Jobs abroad for men include vacancies with different requirements for physical fitness, experience, qualifications, and language skills. One role may involve using a scanner and handling boxes weighing only a few kilograms, while another may require regularly moving heavy loads, operating machinery, or working at height. This is why a job title and a high rate alone do not show whether a particular offer suits a candidate.
This guide uses the terms of current WORKIUM vacancies as of 19 August 2026. Before applying, check the current rate, guaranteed hours, contract, accommodation, transport, and employer requirements, as these details may change.
WORKIUM lists vacancies in warehouses, factories and manufacturing, logistics, the food industry, and construction. Roles include order picker, packer, warehouse worker, production operator, general labourer, installer, welder, electrician, and driver. The list changes as employers publish new vacancies.
Dividing vacancies into “men’s” and “women’s” jobs is only a search filter. It does not replace the job description. For example, an order picker may use a scanner to collect lightweight clothing or handle oversized goods. In manufacturing, one position may involve monitoring a production line, while another may require feeding raw materials, working in noise or high temperatures, or standing throughout the shift.
Before choosing a vacancy, check:
If you are looking for physically demanding work, these details matter more than a general promise of “good conditions.” If the employer cannot clearly describe the weight, pace, and working environment, you cannot assess the actual workload before arrival.
A brief comparison of the main areas:
This type of work suits people who are ready to relocate, adapt to a new schedule, and live near the workplace, while realistically assessing their physical fitness. Experience is not always essential, but you should define an acceptable workload, your language level, available documents, and the minimum income you need after expenses.
If you are not prepared for night shifts, standing work, or shared accommodation, do not accept these conditions solely because of a high rate. A suitable vacancy is one where the working and living conditions match your capabilities.
Actual vacancies provide a clearer picture of how income is formed than a national average salary. For example, a vacancy at the Zara / ID Logistics clothing warehouse in Poland listed a net rate of PLN 25.36–32 per hour and an estimated monthly net income of PLN 5,280–9,300 as of 19 August 2026. The WORKIUM bonus is PLN 600 after 14 completed working days.
Another current offer at the Zalando / Ceva warehouse lists a net rate of PLN 25.36–31.40 per hour and an estimated monthly net income of PLN 4,564–8,394. The bonus is PLN 200 after 30 working days. The minimum employment period is 2.5 months, and the description provides for a PLN 170 deduction if the employee leaves early.
These figures relate to two specific vacancies, not every offer for men. Maximum earnings depend on hours worked, additional payments, productivity, and compliance with the vacancy terms. When comparing offers, record the base rate, guaranteed hours, conditions for a higher rate, bonuses, and all deductions separately.
A practical example: a rate of PLN 32 is not guaranteed if it is available only after meeting a performance target. For a reliable calculation, use the base rate and confirmed number of hours. Add a bonus only after clarifying its rules.
The phrase “physical work” is too broad. One candidate may be comfortable with an eight-hour shift using a scanner but not with regularly lifting heavy boxes. Another may have construction experience but be unwilling to work night shifts or in a freezer zone.
To understand the actual workload, consider the weight of each load, the number of repetitive movements, line speed, temperature, noise, height, protective equipment, and how long you will remain on your feet. If there is a performance target, ask how it is measured: boxes, items, kilograms, or operations per hour.
Be especially careful with advertisements that explain high pay only with the phrase “for strong men.” The rate may include night hours, overtime shifts, difficult conditions, or piecework. A comparison will be inaccurate unless these terms are explained.
Compare like with like: gross with gross or net with net. Gross pay is the amount before taxes and mandatory deductions; net pay is the amount after them. The vacancy page should clearly state which figure is shown and for what period.
Basic calculation:
hourly rate × guaranteed hours − accommodation − transport − other confirmed deductions.
For example, PLN 25.36 net × 180 guaranteed hours = PLN 4,564.80 net before deducting expenses that are not included in the rate. If an employer advertises up to 240 hours but guarantees only 160, build your financial plan around 160 hours.
In practice, misunderstandings most often arise not from the rate itself but from different interpretations of guaranteed hours, bonuses, accommodation, and transport costs. Ask for one written calculation for a normal month without the maximum amount of overtime.
Vacancies may offer 5/2 or 6/1 schedules, 8–12-hour shifts, and day or night work. This is not a universal standard: the specific schedule must be confirmed on the vacancy page and in the contract. “Up to 12 hours” does not mean that a 12-hour shift is guaranteed every day.
Before travelling, clarify:
For physically demanding work, the number of hours is not the only concern. Six consecutive 12-hour shifts and five eight-hour shifts involve very different workloads even if the monthly income is similar.
“Accommodation provided” does not mean that it is free or close to the workplace. Before accepting a vacancy, obtain the address or area, monthly rent, utility costs, deposit, number of people per room, photos, and the move-out rules after employment ends.
Clarify the commute as well: distance, journey time, cost, and transport schedule. If a shift starts at night or early in the morning, regular public transport may not be operating. In that case, find out whether a company bus is available and who pays for it.
For example, two vacancies may have the same rate, but one charges separately for accommodation and commuting, while the other offers free transport and cheaper accommodation. The second offer may leave you with more money at the end of the month even without a higher rate.
Applicants without experience are more often considered for packing, sorting, order picking, simple manufacturing operations, and support work. Check whether training is paid, how long it lasts, and whether the rate changes during this period.
Jobs without language skills are not available in every role. Even if the employer does not require a certificate, the worker must understand safety training, a supervisor’s instructions, and evacuation rules. Clarify the language used for training, whether a coordinator is available, and whether basic language skills will be required after probation.
Language requirements may be higher for drivers, electricians, welders, or installers because of documentation and safety. Do not conceal your language level: misunderstanding an instruction in a production environment creates a greater risk than being rejected during recruitment.
A higher rate in a skilled vacancy is often linked to responsibility and documentation. A driver may need a licence in the relevant category, Code 95, or other documents; a welder may need proof of a specific welding method; an electrician or machinery operator may need a valid permit. Requirements depend on the country and employer.
Send copies of your documents for preliminary review, but do not hand your original passport to another person. Ask whether a Ukrainian certificate or licence is recognised, whether a local examination, translation, or replacement document is required, and who pays for the procedure.
If an employer promises a skilled position without checking your experience and documents, request a written description of the duties. After arrival, the job title should not be changed to an unskilled role with a different rate.
Men over 50 or 60 often want to know whether vacancies are available for their age group. However, age alone does not determine suitability. An employer may set requirements because of the workload, insurance, schedule, or conditions at a particular workplace.
Before applying, state your exact age and obtain written confirmation that it is accepted. Then consider your health, load weights, night shifts, pace, and access to medical care. The phrase “we accept applicants up to 65” does not guarantee that every physical vacancy will suit every candidate of that age.
A reliable vacancy should state the employer, workplace, duties, rate, schedule, accommodation, and type of contract. Verbal promises must match the vacancy page and documents.
Before buying tickets or travelling, check:
Separately check the current border-crossing rules and your right to work in your specific situation. These depend on your citizenship, documents, destination country, and the rules in force on the date of travel. An intermediary cannot replace a decision by the competent authority.
Start by setting your limits: maximum load weight, acceptable schedule, willingness to work night shifts, minimum income after expenses, and accommodation needs. Then compare 3–5 vacancies using the same criteria rather than the largest figure in the headline.
For each offer, record the base rate, guaranteed hours, physical requirements, contract type, accommodation, transport, and date of the first salary payment. If you are interested in a specific country, explore jobs in Poland, jobs in Czechia, or jobs in Germany. If accommodation is your priority, check jobs with accommodation; if you have no language preparation, see jobs with no language requirement.
This filter helps you find suitable offers faster, but you should make your decision based on the actual working conditions. Once the main terms suit you, review the available vacancies and choose an option that matches your documents, experience, and physical abilities.
Compare the physical workload, base rate, guaranteed hours, contract, accommodation, and transport. Before travelling, make sure the documents, duties, and all deductions are confirmed in writing.
Before applying, check whether the schedule, accommodation, requirements, and actual income calculation suit you. This will help you choose a vacancy based on the real conditions rather than only the number in the advertisement.
These may include packing, sorting, order picking, warehouse work, and simple manufacturing operations. Check load weights, training, performance targets, the language used for instruction, and the rate during probation. Confirm the conditions for the specific vacancy before buying tickets. You can also review current jobs abroad for men.
Such vacancies are available, but candidates must understand safety rules and work tasks. Before travelling, clarify the language used for training, whether a coordinator is available, and what will be required after adaptation. It is important to know in advance which language is used for safety training and task instructions.
Additional documents are most often required for drivers, welders, electricians, installers, and special-equipment operators. The exact list is determined by the country and employer. Confirm the conditions for the specific vacancy before buying tickets. More offers are available in the jobs abroad for Ukrainians section.
Some employers consider older candidates, but the accepted age and workload must be confirmed for the specific vacancy. It is important to assess the schedule, load weights, and your health. Confirm the conditions for the specific vacancy before buying tickets.
Multiply the base rate by the guaranteed hours and subtract confirmed expenses. Do not treat the maximum rate, bonus, or overtime as guaranteed income. Ask the employer to provide a calculation based on your schedule and list every deduction in writing.
Compare the amount left after all expenses. A lower rate with guaranteed hours, free transport, and cheaper accommodation can sometimes leave you with more money. Before travelling, obtain the exact address, full price, and accommodation rules in writing.
