If a couple plans to travel to Poland together, it is important that the employer confirms two separate jobs rather than simply accepting two applications. Before travelling, both partners should know each person’s position and rate, whether their shifts are compatible, the conditions for living together, and what happens if one of the jobs needs to be changed.
Below are examples from WORKIUM vacancies for July 2026. Recruitment, rates, schedules, and room availability change, so current conditions should be checked for both candidates.

The phrase «we accept couples» may describe different scenarios:
two identical positions at the same company;
different processes at the same site;
work on different shifts;
two jobs in the same city but with different employers;
shared accommodation without a guaranteed private room.
The most convenient option for a couple is when each partner’s position, rate, start date, and workplace are specified in advance. If only one job has been agreed, the second partner needs a separate offer.
Official marriage is not always required to apply. However, accommodation rules or individual documents may have their own conditions, which should be clarified in advance.
Couples may work in packing, order picking, quality control, logistics, or production processes. What matters more than whether the job titles are the same is whether the duties suit each person.
For example, one partner may work with a scanner and move actively around a warehouse, while the other checks goods or packs products. If both agree to only one type of position, the choice becomes narrower; if they accept different processes at the same site, finding two places is often easier.
This article looks at the most common vacancies where two candidates can arrange work in Poland.
This format is often chosen by couples who want to start work at the same time, live together, and plan shared expenses more easily. At the same time, each candidate goes through a separate employment process and has their own rate, schedule, and agreement conditions.
For work in Poland, each partner completes their own formalities, signs their own documents, and is responsible for their own employment conditions. Even at the same site, hours worked and salary are calculated separately.
In July 2026, the catalogue included a clothing and cosmetics warehouse vacancy for women and couples aged 18–45. The rate was 24.18–31.40 PLN net per hour, with an estimated range of 4,383–8,778 PLN net per month, and accommodation costing 620 PLN per person per month.
Another version of this offer accepted men, women, and couples aged 18–50. It listed 25.36–31.40 PLN net per hour, approximately 5,072–8,792 PLN net per month, and accommodation for 450 PLN per person.
Another current offer accepted couples aged 18–60, had a Monday-to-Saturday schedule, and provided accommodation for 300 PLN per person per month.
These examples relate to specific vacancies and are not an average salary for couples. They show that even with the same employer, the rate, candidate requirements, accommodation, bonuses, and schedule may differ. WORKIUM vacancy listings show these parameters for each available option, and each partner needs a separate calculation.
The same job title does not guarantee the same shifts. Partners may be assigned to different departments, while the schedule may only be set after training.
Before travelling, check:
whether you will work at the same site;
whether shift start and finish times will match;
whether you will have the same days off;
how transport is organised for early and night shifts;
whether the schedule can be changed after assignment;
whether the same start date is guaranteed.
If one partner works 6:00–16:00 and the other 14:00–22:00, shared accommodation does not solve transport and everyday-life issues. Ask for an example of a weekly schedule for both partners rather than a general statement that «the shifts are the same».
«Accommodation for a couple» may mean two places in the same building, one room shared with other residents, or a private room. It is better to have the required arrangement confirmed in writing.
Clarify:
whether there will be a private room;
how many people live in the room and in the building;
the price per person and the total amount for two;
utilities and the deposit;
the address and photographs;
commuting time and cost;
rules for changing accommodation;
how long you may stay after employment ends.
For example, accommodation costing 620 PLN per person means 1,240 PLN per month for two people if there are no other charges. The phrase «620 PLN for accommodation» without specifying whether this is per person can create an error in the household budget.
Detailed criteria for choosing a room, checking photographs, and assessing transport are covered on the jobs in Poland with accommodation page.
Do not simply add together the two maximum salaries shown in an advertisement. For each partner, record separately:
the basic net or gross rate;
guaranteed hours;
conditions for the higher rate;
supplements and bonuses;
accommodation and transport costs;
the date of the first payment.
Illustrative example: the first partner earns 27 PLN net × 180 hours = 4,860 PLN, while the second earns 25 PLN net × 180 hours = 4,500 PLN. Together, this is 9,360 PLN net before agreed expenses. With accommodation costing 600 PLN per person, 8,160 PLN remains after paying for housing.
Also prepare a financial reserve for the period before the first salary payment. If one partner starts later or does not complete the employment process, the budget will temporarily depend on one income.
Different positions are not necessarily a disadvantage. If one partner has a technical qualification and the other is looking for work without experience, two different jobs in the same area may be more advantageous than identical simple processes.
Compare not only the rates but also:
work start times;
the route from accommodation;
physical workload;
agreement duration;
rules for transferring to another process.
If one partner has confirmed work while the other is told that «something will be found after arrival», ask for the second position to be named or for the replacement-selection process to be explained. This helps the couple understand their starting budget before travelling.
The age limit may differ for each process. If a vacancy states «up to 60 years old», clarify whether this applies to both partners and to each proposed position. For a couple aged 40–60, it is particularly important to assess the workload of each process separately rather than relying only on the general age label.
Lack of experience is not accepted everywhere. Simple processes may provide training, while technical positions may require documents or a practical test.
If Polish is not mandatory, make sure both partners will understand the safety briefing, schedule, and accommodation rules. One partner should not have to act as the only translator for safety or agreement matters.
Before buying tickets, clarify:
Is there a separate confirmed job for each partner?
What position and rate does each person have?
Is the start date the same?
Are the schedules and days off compatible?
Is a shared private room guaranteed?
What is the full accommodation cost for two people?
How is transport organised?
What happens if one partner is not accepted or is transferred?
When will each person receive their first salary?

Compare the positions, rates, schedules, accommodation, and transport for both partners. Travel when the conditions are confirmed for each person and the household budget has been calculated using the basic rates.
It is a job offer that includes two confirmed positions—one for each partner. It is not enough to be told that the second partner will be employed after arrival. Before traveling, ask for the job title, pay rate, work schedule, and start date for both of you. Also confirm whether you will be working at the same company and whether you will be able to live together.
No. Partners may be assigned to different production areas or different shifts, even if they work at the same company. If it is important for you to have the same days off or commute to work together, make this clear before reserving the job. A verbal promise such as “we’ll try” is not a guarantee—you should obtain clear confirmation of these arrangements.
Not always. The phrase “accommodation for a couple” may mean a private room, or it may simply mean that you can stay in the same house. Ask directly who else will be sharing the room, how much accommodation costs for two people, whether a security deposit is required, and whether utility bills are included. Request photos of the exact accommodation where you are expected to live.
Calculate the guaranteed income for each partner separately. Then subtract the costs of accommodation, transportation, food, the security deposit, and any other expenses you will have before receiving your first paycheck. Be sure to keep a financial reserve in case one of you starts work later or is given fewer working hours. Do not base your shared budget on the maximum salary advertised in the job listing.
This should be clarified before you travel. Ask whether the other partner’s job offer will remain valid, whether you can stay in the shared accommodation, and who will pay for the housing. Also find out whether an alternative job will be offered and how long you may have to wait. Without a clear backup plan, the couple risks having only one source of income while still covering expenses for two people.
For many job vacancies, a marriage certificate is not required, but the rules may vary depending on the employer or the accommodation provider. If you are not legally married, ask whether you will be provided with a shared room and what documents you need to submit. It is best to clarify this before reserving the job so that you are not accommodated separately after arrival.
