Jobs in Poland for women include vacancies with different work paces, working positions, and levels of physical effort. The phrase «light work» does not guarantee that a shift will be easy: small-item packing may require ten hours of standing, while a seated process may involve repeating the same operation throughout the entire shift.
Below are examples of conditions from WORKIUM vacancies for July 2026. Rates, recruitment, and age requirements change, so the specific offer should be checked before travelling.

How to choose a job in Poland
The catalogue includes offers in packing, order picking, quality control, logistics, food production, and other areas. Some processes provide on-the-job training, while others require experience, attention to detail, or willingness to work shifts.
The label «for women» does not explain what the work actually involves. At one site, an employee may inspect clothing and pack returns; at another, she may pick orders with a scanner, feed products onto a line, or perform quality checks.
Different types of vacancies — seasonal work, greenhouses, manufacturing, or offers with accommodation — have their own conditions that should be considered before travelling. It is important to assess vacancies by duties, pay, schedule, and workload.
These offers may suit women without previous experience, those working in Poland for the first time, or those looking for hourly pay and a defined schedule. The key is to assess the shift length, working position, pace, and presence of night shifts in advance.
The most common processes differ in workload:
packing — repetitive movements and work at a table or production line;
order picking — more walking and work with a scanner;
quality control — attention to detail, inspection, and sorting of goods;
production operations — a defined cycle, pace, and rotation between processes.
These are only general guidelines. The actual conditions should be read in each vacancy.
The phrase «light work in Poland for women» may refer to the low weight of goods, but it says nothing about the pace, repetition of movements, or shift length. Ask not only about the maximum weight but also how often it needs to be lifted.
Before applying, check:
the weight of an individual item and box;
the number of repetitions per hour;
whether bending or reaching to upper shelves is required;
whether there is a productivity target and how it is measured;
temperature and noise levels;
how long the employee works standing;
whether employees can move between processes.
Example: packing goods weighing up to 2 kg may seem light, but with a fast pace and a ten-hour shift, the strain comes not from the weight but from thousands of repeated movements. This is why the word «light» should be replaced with specific figures and a description of the process.
If seated work is important, clarify the conditions of the specific vacancy. A position may be described as seated even though part of the shift requires moving materials, getting up to reach shelving, or working at a table at a set pace.
Clarify:
how many hours per shift can be spent sitting;
whether the chair and table height are adjustable;
whether there is rotation between seated and standing work;
how often breaks are provided;
whether boxes need to be lifted;
what the productivity target is.
Standing work also varies. Moving freely around a warehouse and standing in one place at a conveyor place different demands on the body. Ask for a video of the process or a detailed description of one full shift.
WORKIUM allows candidates to select vacancies by rate, schedule, accommodation, and requirements, and to compare the actual conditions before applying. In July 2026, the catalogue included an offer at a clothing and cosmetics warehouse for women aged 18–45, with a rate of 24.18–31.40 PLN net per hour and estimated income of 4,383–8,778 PLN net per month. The conditions depended on the available employment arrangement.
Another clothing warehouse offer accepted women aged 19–50, with a rate of 25.36–32 PLN net per hour and an estimated range of 5,280–9,300 PLN net per month. A vacancy involving checks of returned clothing specified an age range of 18–47, a rate of 25.36–31.40 PLN net, and a Monday-to-Saturday schedule.
These are examples of individual vacancies, not the average salary for all women in Poland. The upper range depends on working hours, supplements, tax status, and the conditions of the specific offer. Use the base rate and confirmed hours for comparison.
Compare vacancies using the same type of rate: gross with gross or net with net.
To estimate monthly income, you need:
a rate clearly marked as gross or net;
guaranteed hours;
conditions for receiving a higher rate;
supplements for night shifts and public holidays;
bonus rules;
all deductions.
Illustrative calculation: 27 PLN net × 180 guaranteed hours = 4,860 PLN net before agreed expenses. If the employer states «up to 240 hours», ask for the minimum number of hours that is actually provided.
The phrase «salary up to 9,000 PLN» describes the upper scenario. If it is unclear how many hours or what conditions are required to reach it, base your assessment on the basic rate.
A 5/2 or 6/1 schedule does not show the shift length, night shifts, or commuting time. Ask for an example of a real working week showing the start and end of each shift, breaks, days off, and how additional hours are arranged.
For an 8, 10, or 12-hour shift, it is important to know how much time the employee spends standing and whether she can move between processes. If accommodation is 45 minutes from work, a ten-hour shift also means another hour and a half spent travelling.
A high productivity target may matter more than the weight of the goods. Clarify whether the target applies from the first day, how training is conducted, whether performance affects the rate, and what happens if the production line stops for technical reasons.
Some vacancies provide training in scanner use, packing, labelling, or quality control. However, «no experience» does not mean the description can be ignored: an employer may require attention to detail, a fast working pace, and readiness for night shifts.
If Polish is not mandatory, check:
which language is used for the safety briefing;
whether an English-speaking coordinator is available;
whether scanner commands need to be read;
how to report an error or injury;
which language the agreement is written in.
The employee must understand the safety rules and be able to ask questions. This is more important than a formal label saying «no language required».
Age is often one of the criteria when choosing a vacancy, but the final decision depends on the working conditions and the employer's requirements. There is no single age limit for all offers.
WORKIUM examples from July 2026 included limits of up to 45, 47, and 50 years old. Other offers may accept older candidates, but the age limit should be confirmed before travelling.
Do not assess a vacancy by age alone. Check the working position, pace, weight, night shifts, and commuting time. The phrase «up to 65 years old» does not mean that a particular workload is suitable for everyone.
Compare at least several offers using the same criteria:
daily duties;
working position, weight, and pace;
basic rate;
guaranteed hours;
schedule and night shifts;
age and language requirements;
the type and conditions of the agreement.
A reliable description provides answers before travel. If the position, rate, workplace, or schedule changes after arrival, record the discrepancy and contact the coordinator before signing new conditions.
View jobs in Poland for women with clearly stated duties, pay, schedule, and requirements. If accommodation is the main criterion, open jobs in Poland with accommodation.
Do not rely only on words such as «light» or «for women». Compare the duties, working position, pace, schedule, and guaranteed pay, then choose the offer that suits you.
The most common positions include packing, sorting, order picking, quality control, cleaning, and simple production tasks. However, you should not rely on the job title alone. Ask how many hours you will be standing, how much weight you will be expected to lift, whether there are production targets, and what the temperature is like in the workplace. These details will give you a much clearer picture of whether the job is right for you.
There is no universal definition of this phrase. A job may not require lifting heavy objects, yet still be physically demanding because of a fast work pace, repetitive movements, or long shifts spent standing. Ask the employer to describe a typical workday: what tasks you will perform, how often breaks are provided, whether you can change your working position, and what performance metrics are used to evaluate your work.
Ask a direct question: what portion of the shift does the employee spend sitting? Sometimes a job is advertised as seated work even though sitting is only possible during one specific task, while the rest of the shift requires standing or walking. Also ask whether there is rotation between workstations and whether you are allowed to change your working position throughout the shift.
Yes, but the absence of a language requirement in a job advertisement does not necessarily mean that Polish will not be needed. Find out which language is used for training, work instructions, and communication with the shift supervisor. In jobs involving scanners, labeling, or quality control, it may be important to understand short written instructions and basic commands in Polish.
Ask for the base hourly or monthly rate, the guaranteed number of working hours, and the conditions for receiving bonuses. Also clarify the pay for night shifts and overtime, as well as any costs for accommodation, transportation, and work clothing. The maximum advertised amount may only be achievable by working a large number of hours or meeting high performance targets, so it should not be the only factor when choosing a job.
Yes, such jobs are available, but employers look at more than just age. Your health, the physical demands of the job, the work pace, the schedule, and the specific duties all play an important role. If a job advertisement includes an age limit, ask whether it is related to the actual requirements of the role. It is best to be honest about your experience and capabilities so the recruiter can recommend a job that you can realistically perform every day.
