The higher rate in the first vacancy does not produce a higher monthly amount if fewer hours are guaranteed. This is only an example calculation: the actual amount must be checked against the specific contract.

If an advertisement states «up to 8,500 PLN», ask for the amount to be broken down into the basic rate, regular hours, night hours, overtime, and the bonus. The phrase «up to» often shows the maximum under particular conditions rather than guaranteed income.

Before accepting a vacancy, confirm:

• the rate and whether it is gross or net;

• the type of contract;

• the guaranteed number of hours;

• the night-work supplement;

• the overtime rules;

• the bonus conditions;

• the date of the first payment;

• all deductions.

Which schedules appear in vacancies

Warehouses and factories may offer 5/2 or 6/1 schedules, work in two or three shifts, and shifts lasting 8–12 hours. This is not a universal standard for Poznań: the exact schedule is determined by the employer and the contract.
