Jobs in Czechia for men are defined by the employer’s specific requirements, not simply by the label “men’s job”. One offer may involve assembling small components and quality control, while another may require work on an automotive production line, moving parts, or servicing equipment. Before applying, compare not only the rate but also the physical demands, item weights, pace, shifts, accommodation, and commute.
As of 19 August 2026, the WORKIUM catalogue had a separate vacancy for the production of AK cable harnesses for men only, as well as a vacancy for the Cooper car plant for men, women and couples. These examples are used to show real comparison conditions, and not to promise the same pay to every candidate.
The offers for men include production lines, automotive plants, warehouses, logistics, equipment work, assembly, construction and technical professions. However, the gender of the candidate does not explain the complexity of the work: the employer must name specific operations and substantiated requirements for the position.
If you don’t have a specific certification or experience, the following processes are often worth looking at:
Certification, approval, or proof of experience may be required for welders, electricians, mechanics, forklift operators, or drivers. The phrase “on-the-job training” does not mean that an employer can allow an employee to perform a hazardous operation without instruction and the necessary qualifications.
Many men are looking for jobs in construction, but this page covers all male vacancies, not just construction. If the employer says “construction handyman”, please specify the type of work: moving materials, dismantling, concreting, assembly or cleaning have different workloads and requirements.
The AK vacancy in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm, about 40 km from Ostrava, was open to men aged 18–55. Duties included assembling cable harnesses, assembling cables and small components according to instructions, servicing production machines and quality control.
The card stated:
According to the bonus terms, 400 hours worked during this period give 2,000 CZK, but the payment depends on fulfilling the established condition of 60 working days. This is a separate WORKIUM reward, not part of the employer's rate.
Another example is the Cooper car plant in Žděr nad Sázavou, about 75 km from Brno. The workers are involved in the production of brake, fuel and cooling systems and window lift mechanisms.
The vacancy stated 32,000–34,000 CZK gross per month, 160 CZK gross per hour, Mon–Fri schedule, and housing for 930 CZK per month. The offer accepted men, women, and couples aged 18–55, so it is not exclusively male, but it fits the current filter.
These two cards cannot be compared by the numbers 170 and 160: the first rate is marked as net, the second as gross. At the same time, the difference in the cost of housing is 2,820 CZK per month. That is why choosing only the highest number in the title often gives a false result.
Ask the employer to describe one full shift. “Light production” may involve eight hours of standing, repetitive hand movements, a fast conveyor belt, or regular movement of parts.
Before giving feedback, ask:
Example: “moving boxes up to 15 kg” and “lifting 15 kg at a time” are different conditions. If boxes need to be moved every few minutes, the distance, height of the racks and the availability of a trolley are important. Ask for a precise description with numbers rather than a general assessment of “easy”.
In the production of cable harnesses, some of the tasks are related to small components and assembly precision. Attention, manual dexterity and the ability to follow instructions may be important here, not just physical strength. In a car factory, you need to separately specify the weight of parts, the conveyor speed and rotation.
The statutory minimum wage in the Czech Republic from 1 January to 31 December 2026 is CZK 22,400 gross per month or CZK 134.40 gross per hour for a standard 40-hour week. This is the lower limit, not the typical rate for each male vacancy.
Gross is the amount before taxes and contributions. Net is the amount after mandatory deductions, but housing, transport or other agreed expenses may still be deducted from it. Ask the employer to show the calculation in one format — then it is easier to compare vacancies.
To avoid getting lost in the numbers, check five indicators:
If you multiply the rate of 170 CZK net by 160 hours, you get 27,200 CZK net before housing deductions. After 3,750 CZK for accommodation, you have 23,450 CZK for other personal expenses. This is not a payment forecast, but a check to see if the declared salary meets the above conditions.
For Cooper, 160 CZK gross × 200 hours = 32,000 CZK gross. The upper limit of 34,000 CZK requires a different number of hours, allowances or bonuses. Ask what exactly this 2,000 CZK consists of before considering it as a guaranteed income.
The standard working week in the Czech Republic is 40 hours. In a two-shift system, the legal norm is 38.75 hours, in a three-shift or continuous system — 37.5 hours. One shift should not exceed 12 hours.
A break of at least 30 minutes must be taken no later than after six hours of work. It is usually unpaid: eight working hours can mean 8.5 hours in a company.
Before agreeing to a schedule, ask:
Night work and weekend work are subject to additional payments of at least 10% of the average salary. Overtime is paid at the regular rate plus at least 25%, unless compensatory leave is agreed instead of additional payment. The contract or internal rules may contain more favorable conditions.
In two WORKIUM examples, housing cost 930 and 3,750 CZK per month. The lower price looks attractive, but it must be evaluated together with the address, transportation, number of residents and eviction rules.
Before settling in, find out:
The AK vacancy is located approximately 40 km from Ostrava, and Cooper is approximately 75 km from Brno. The name of a large city in the landmark does not mean that the company is located in that city. Ask for the exact address of the home and get directions to the exact address of the work.
Housing is considered here only as one of the conditions for employment. If housing is the main criterion, it should be compared on a separate page about vacancies with housing, and not expand this material to another search intent.
Before leaving, it is important to understand on what basis you will be registered. It depends on citizenship, residence status, profession and type of contract. The fact of visa-free entry itself does not yet confirm the right to perform a specific job.
In the written contract, check:
If you are asked to transfer money to a private person for a vacancy only to “reserve a place”, do not rush to pay. First, check the company, written conditions, purpose of payment and return rules.
WORKIUM cards separately indicate the employer, address, responsibilities, rate, gross/net, candidate criteria, schedule, housing and bonus. If there is no important condition, ask a question before departure and save the answer in writing.

In the verified examples, the rate was CZK 170 net per hour at AK production and CZK 160 gross per hour at Cooper. These rates use different bases and cannot be compared directly. Ask for a calculation based on the specific schedule and a written list of all deductions.
Not for every vacancy. Cable-harness assembly requires precision and attention, while loading or construction work may demand greater endurance. Ask for the exact weight, lifting frequency, and a description of the shift. Confirm every important condition for the specific vacancy before buying tickets.
Such offers may become available, but they require a clear specialisation and job description. Documents or permits may be mandatory for electrical work, welding, machinery, or work at height. Confirm every important condition for the specific vacancy before buying tickets.
Some vacancies arrange accommodation, but it is paid. In the current examples, it cost CZK 930 and CZK 3,750 per month. Confirm the address, deposit, number of residents, and transport. Before travelling, obtain the exact address, full price, current photos, and house rules.
It depends on the process and training language. Understanding commands may be enough for repetitive tasks, while operating machinery, using technical documentation, or leading a team requires stronger language skills. Confirm every important condition for the specific vacancy before buying tickets. Browse other jobs in Czechia as well.
