Which vacancies are available in Zielona Góra

The city combines a retail and service sector with modern manufacturing. Companies in electrical engineering, lighting, e-mobility, furniture and wood processing, e-commerce, warehouses, and logistics centres operate on the outskirts.

Vacancies may include:

The name «Zielona Góra» in an advertisement may cover a large city area following administrative expansion. Therefore, distance in kilometres does not always show the actual travel time.

Before confirming a vacancy, ask for:

1. the full address and exact entrance point;

2. the times of all shifts;

3. the bus number or the boarding address for employer-provided transport;

4. the weekend timetable;

5. the travel time from the accommodation to the workplace;

6. the cost of employer-provided transport.

For example, work in Nowy Kisielin may be convenient with a daytime schedule, but the early shift may begin before the first suitable bus. If the employer does not arrange transport, taxi costs or private transport must be considered. Check the route for the actual shift time.

Where it is more convenient to look for accommodation for the industrial zone

For work in Nowy Kisielin, first check transport links with the eastern part of the city, Stary Kisielin, and the route towards the industrial and technology park. Accommodation closer to the city centre does not always provide a shorter journey: one direct line may be more convenient than a shorter distance involving a transfer. For companies near Trasa Północna, routes to the northern industrial zone are important. Before renting, check the timetable for the start and finish of the shift, not only a daytime route.

Simple operations in manufacturing, packing, warehouse work, or cleaning may be available without Polish work experience if training is provided. Technical positions more often require qualifications, the ability to read drawings, work with tools, or Polish-language skills.

• the indoor temperature;

• whether night shifts are compulsory;

• whether a medical examination is required;

• which authorisations the employer recognises;

• which language is used for instructions.

Individual vacancies differ in physical workload, schedule, and requirements. If you are interested in work in Zielona Góra for women, assess the weight, pace, night shifts, transport, and actual duties rather than the job title.

How to compare salary and hours

As of 2026, the minimum salary in Poland for full-time employment under an umowa o pracę is 4,806 PLN gross per month. A minimum hourly rate of 31.40 PLN gross applies to specified civil-law contracts. These are statutory minimums, not the average salary in Zielona Góra.

Which schedules employers offer

Manufacturing and warehouse vacancies may involve two or three shifts, 5/2 or 6/1 schedules, and shifts lasting 8–12 hours. In retail and services, the schedule may vary. The exact timetable depends on the particular employer.

Clarify:

• the minimum number of hours under the agreement;

• the shift start and finish times;

• whether night work is compulsory;

• who approves an extension of the shift;

• how overtime is paid;

• when the employee receives the schedule;

• how long the breaks last.

A ten-hour shift and 60 minutes of travel in each direction mean 12 hours away from the accommodation. With a 6/1 schedule, this is a significant workload even if the rate is several zlotys higher.

In warehouses and e-commerce, the workload may increase before seasonal peaks. Ask whether hours are guaranteed after the peak and for what period the agreement is concluded.

Whether it is possible to work without Polish

Vacancies without fluent Polish are available in simple assembly, packing, warehouse work, and manufacturing operations. However, the employee must understand safety rules and be able to report a defect, injury, or breakdown.

Before starting, check:

• the language used for instructions;

• whether a Ukrainian-speaking or Russian-speaking coordinator is available;

• the language used by the scanner or terminal;

• how tasks are assigned;

• the Polish-language requirements for more complex operations.

Polish is more often required in retail, restaurants, hotels, and customer service. For technical positions, it may be necessary because of documentation, quality control, and communication with the supervisor.

How to check accommodation and transport

If the employer offers accommodation, check the full monthly price, address, and transport connection with the workplace. In Zielona Góra, it is important to know whether the route is within the city zone and whether it operates for an early or night shift.

As of July 2026, a personal 30-day unlimited mobile ticket in city zone A costs 90 PLN, while a transferable ticket costs — 200 PLN. The fare may change, so check the current price before calculating expenses.

Accommodation that is 400 PLN cheaper may be less advantageous if it adds an hour of travel every day or requires taxi journeys. Compare rent, transport, and time together.

Assess vacancies with accommodation in Zielona Góra by the accommodation address, full payment, deposit, and travel time to the workplace.
