Jobs in Łomża are suitable for people looking for vacancies in a calm city in Podlaskie Voivodeship with well-developed food processing, logistics, manufacturing and services. Although Łomża is not one of Poland’s largest metropolitan areas, the local labour market extends beyond the city’s administrative boundaries. Some workplaces are in industrial districts, near major roads or in neighbouring municipalities, so always check the actual workplace address.
The city lies on the Narew River and is one of the key centres in the western part of Podlaskie Voivodeship. Important regional transport routes pass through Łomża, including the international S61 road, which forms part of Via Baltica. This makes travel easier not only within the city but also to workplaces towards Ostrołęka, Zambrów, Kolno and other nearby towns.
When choosing a vacancy, consider not only the pay rate but also the number of guaranteed hours, contract type, possible additional payments, accommodation conditions and the actual commuting time.
The statutory minimum figures were checked on August 19, 2026. Poland’s minimum monthly wage is PLN 4,806 gross for full-time employment under an umowa o pracę, while the minimum hourly rate for contracts covered by it is PLN 31.40 gross. Unless stated otherwise, pay is usually quoted gross, before taxes and contributions. Net pay is the amount the employee actually receives in their bank account.

Check these details before applying
Łomża is particularly known for vacancies in food processing, food production, logistics and manufacturing. The search also covers warehouses, retail and services in the city and surrounding municipalities. This profile is linked to the agricultural specialisation of the Narew region, so the duties in two “production” vacancies can differ significantly.
You can also find work:
on production lines;
in warehouse logistics;
at food industry plants;
in cleaning;
in retail;
in administrative roles;
as a driver in selected categories;
in seasonal jobs.
The number of vacancies in individual occupations changes with production demand and the opening of new shifts. Always check whether a specific offer is still available and confirm its conditions when you apply.
Łomża has a compact urban area, but workplaces are often located outside the city’s administrative boundaries. Some production facilities are near exits to the S61 road or in neighbouring towns whose residents commute to work every day.
For candidates, this means one simple thing: an address labelled “Łomża” does not guarantee that the workplace is in the city centre.
Before accepting a vacancy, check:
the actual workplace address;
the journey time from the accommodation;
whether public transport operates at the start of the shift;
whether staff transport is provided;
who pays for travel.
If a shift starts at 6:00 or ends after 22:00, transport can be just as important as the pay rate.
Two vacancies may look almost identical at first, even though the actual monthly income is different.
Example.
Vacancy A
PLN 31.40 gross per hour;
160 guaranteed hours;
no bonuses.
The monthly gross income would be PLN 5,024.
Vacancy B
PLN 31.40 gross per hour;
200 guaranteed hours.
In this case, the gross income would be PLN 6,280.
The difference is PLN 1,256 gross even though the hourly rate is identical.
Another example.
An employee earns PLN 33 gross per hour.
For 168 hours:
33 × 168 = PLN 5,544 gross.
For 210 hours:
33 × 210 = PLN 6,930 gross.
The difference is PLN 1,386 gross solely because of the larger number of paid hours.
The amount of guaranteed work often affects income more than a difference of one or two zlotys per hour.
A production vacancy in Łomża may involve:
two shifts;
three shifts;
8- or 12-hour shifts;
work from Monday to Friday;
weekend work at some workplaces.
For example, an employee may rent accommodation in the Południe district while the workplace is in an industrial area near the S61 exit.
The route may be convenient for a day shift, but it should be checked against the current timetable from the specific stop.
If a shift starts at 5:30, the first bus may not arrive early enough. In that situation, the employee will need a car, staff transport or a taxi.
After a night shift, check when the first morning bus departs. If the accommodation is on the other side of the Narew, even a short distance depends on the route across the bridge and the number of transfers.
It is better to clarify these details before signing the contract.
If an employer or agency provides accommodation, ask immediately:
whether it is free;
if not, what the monthly cost is;
whether a deposit is required;
how many people share a room;
how far the workplace is;
who pays for transport;
whether additional deductions can be taken from pay.
The phrase “accommodation provided” does not mean that it is free. Ask for the exact monthly amount, deposit, utility charges and all payroll deductions. If this information is unavailable, do not use an arbitrary “average” amount in your calculation.
It is also useful to ask which deductions may appear on the payslip. This helps prevent misunderstandings after the first salary payment.
Before accepting a job, go through a short checklist.
Compare:
the hourly rate;
the guaranteed number of hours;
the availability of overtime;
the contract type;
the workplace address;
the commuting time;
the accommodation cost;
transport expenses;
night-shift supplements, if applicable;
the date of the next salary payment.
A vacancy with a slightly lower rate but free accommodation, a short commute and a stable schedule may be more profitable than an offer with higher hourly pay.
When browsing vacancies on WORKIUM, open two or three offers in Łomża and the surrounding area and compare them using the same criteria.
For example, one vacancy may offer PLN 31.40 gross per hour, free transport to the workplace and 180 guaranteed hours.
Another may offer PLN 32.50 gross per hour, but accommodation costs PLN 650 per month and the public-transport commute takes almost an hour each way.
The second offer formally has a higher hourly rate. Once costs and commuting time are considered, the first may be more practical.
This makes it easier to see which vacancy will leave more money after accommodation costs and avoid an inconvenient daily commute.
Before making a final decision, make sure you know:
the exact workplace address;
the employment start date;
the shift schedule;
the number of guaranteed hours;
whether pay is quoted gross or net;
the contract type;
the accommodation conditions;
the commuting arrangements;
possible deductions;
when the first salary will be paid.
This is especially important in Łomża because a vacancy labelled “Łomża” may actually be near the S61 road or in a neighbouring municipality. Checking the address and route to the shift takes only a few minutes but helps prevent unpleasant surprises after arrival.
Browse current vacancies in Łomża, compare working conditions, hours, schedules and accommodation, and choose the offer that best meets your expectations.

Such offers are available in warehouses, production, packaging and support roles. However, check the duties, pace, physical demands and training conditions for each vacancy. A lack of experience requirements does not mean that the job is suitable for everyone. View current jobs in Łomża.
Ask for the full workplace address before applying and check it on a map. The city name is sometimes used as a reference for vacancies in the suburbs or an industrial zone. Compare the workplace address with the accommodation, schedule and transport options for both early and late shifts.
Monthly pay depends on the base rate, guaranteed hours, additional payments, bonuses and all deductions. Check whether the stated amount is before or after taxes. For a fair comparison, request a calculation for the specific schedule and subtract accommodation and transport costs.
Such vacancies are available, but the requirements depend on the position. Employees must understand safety instructions, work tasks and messages from their supervisor. Before travelling, confirm the training language, whether a coordinator is available and whether the role requires reading signs or handling documents.
Ask for the exact address, current photos, total cost, number of people per room and deposit refund rules. Check the route to the workplace for every shift. The phrase “accommodation provided” does not explain its condition, cost or location.
Before buying a ticket, save written confirmation of the position, duties, address, contract, pay rate, guaranteed hours, schedule, accommodation, transport and all deductions. You should also have the contact details of the coordinator responsible for your arrival and first working day. You can also view jobs abroad for Ukrainians.
