Work in Poznań for women includes a range of warehouse, manufacturing, and support processes. Seeing the label «for women» is not enough to choose a vacancy: the product weight, working posture, pace, schedule, and actual company address must also be known.
Some offers may be located not in Poznań itself but in the wider urban area. In that case, the transport zone, the time of the first or last service, and the distance from the stop to the site all affect how practical the job is. This page focuses specifically on choosing a local vacancy for women without repeating general information about work in Poland.
The information was checked on 29 July 2026. Availability, rates, and conditions should be confirmed in the current vacancy listing.

View vacancies in Poznań for women
In Poznań and nearby towns, female candidates may consider work in warehouses, packing, sorting, quality control, manufacturing, and other areas. The specific range of vacancies depends on the season and the employers recruiting at the time.
Possible processes include:
packing goods;
labelling;
sorting;
quality checks;
processing returns;
order picking with a scanner;
preparing orders for dispatch;
simple production-line operations;
support work.
The job title does not show the actual workload. At one warehouse, order picking may mean working with small items at a table, while at another it may involve constant movement between shelves and using a trolley.
When reviewing vacancies, pay attention not only to the job title but also to the description of daily operations. A good description states what the employee picks up, how much the item weighs, where it is moved, how completion is confirmed, and who provides help if an error occurs.
Physical workload is not determined by weight alone. The repetition of movements, time spent standing, pace, temperature, and the need to bend or reach for shelves also matter.
Before applying, clarify:
the maximum weight of one item and one box;
how many times that weight is lifted during a shift;
whether trolleys or containers must be pushed;
how many hours the work is performed standing;
whether workers rotate between processes;
the temperature and noise level;
whether work clothing and footwear are provided.
Example. A 3 kg box may be easy to lift once. If it has to be moved every 30 seconds for several hours, repetition becomes the main source of strain. In another vacancy, a box may weigh 7 kg but be lifted only a few times during a shift with the help of a trolley.
It is better to request a description of the full shift than to rely only on the phrase «not physically demanding»: how long the employee stands, walks, sits, and handles loads.
A seated workstation does not always mean that the employee can sit throughout the entire shift. Materials may be stored on shelves, finished boxes may need to be carried, and during busier periods the employee may be moved to another process.
Clarify:
how many hours can actually be spent sitting;
whether the chair and table height are adjustable;
whether the employee must stand up to collect materials;
how often the operation changes;
whether there is a production target;
how long the breaks last and when they are provided.
The word «light» also requires clarification. It may refer to the low weight of the products but fail to account for a fast pace, a cold workplace, noise, or night shifts.
If the employer cannot state the weight, frequency of movements, and time spent in one posture, the vacancy cannot be assessed properly before arrival. In that case, request a video of the process without personal data or a detailed written description.
A 5/2 or 6/1 schedule is only the starting information. The time of each shift, number of hours, night work, breaks, and overtime arrangements must also be known.
Check:
whether the shift lasts 8, 10, or 12 hours;
whether the schedule is fixed or rotates;
whether night shifts are compulsory or optional;
how many hours are guaranteed per month;
when the schedule is announced;
how additional time is paid;
whether the full target applies from the first day;
how equipment downtime is recorded.
Schedule example. If a shift runs from 6:00 to 18:00 and the journey from the accommodation takes 55 minutes each way, the full day away from home approaches 14 hours. A vacancy with a shorter shift or a company bus may be more convenient even at a slightly lower rate.
The adaptation period is important for new employees. Instead of the answer «the target will be explained on site», candidates should know how many shifts the training lasts, who demonstrates the process, and when full productivity begins to be assessed.
The ZTM Poznań transport system has fare zones A, B, C, and D. Zone A covers Poznań, while the other zones cover areas further from the city. For a travel pass, the company location affects the required zone combination and the cost of the journey.
Before accepting a vacancy, request two exact addresses: the company and the accommodation, if housing is provided. Then plan the route for the actual shift start and finish times.
If accommodation is included in the offer, it is enough to check the address, cost, number of people in the room, and method of travel to work. Detailed housing conditions are not the main subject of this page.
Check:
the transport zone;
the number of transfers;
the journey time on a weekday and weekend;
the first and last service;
the distance from the stop to the entrance;
whether a night route is available;
the pick-up point for the company bus;
the travel cost and payment method.
Day and night services operate in Poznań and the wider urban area, but the existence of a night network does not guarantee a convenient route to a specific industrial zone. The final section of the journey should be checked separately.
Example. An app shows a 45-minute journey during the day, but after a night shift the bus from the industrial zone runs only once an hour. The actual return journey may take almost twice as long. Compare the route for the required day and time rather than relying on an average daytime option.
General city vacancies and conditions are covered on the work in Poznań page. Here, the main filter remains whether the workload, schedule, and route are suitable for the individual candidate.
For a fair comparison, the rates should be of the same type: gross with gross or net with net. Guaranteed hours, supplements, and all deductions are then required.
Use the formula:
rate × guaranteed hours − accommodation − transport − other expenses agreed in writing.
Illustrative example: 27 PLN net × 180 hours = 4,860 PLN net before known expenses. Another vacancy with a rate of 29 PLN and 160 guaranteed hours gives 4,640 PLN net. A higher rate does not automatically compensate for fewer hours.
If an advertisement states up to 220–240 hours, find out how many are guaranteed and how many depend on orders and overtime shifts. Maximum income should not be presented as typical without explaining the conditions required to achieve it.
Calculate transport separately. Charges for several zones, daily transfers, or a long journey may make a remote vacancy less attractive than a closer offer with a lower hourly rate.
Ask the manager to answer ten questions in writing:
What is the full company address?
What does the employee do during the shift?
What is the maximum weight and how often is it lifted?
How much time is spent standing, sitting, and walking?
What is the schedule for the coming week?
Is the rate gross or net?
How many hours are guaranteed?
Which expenses are deducted from salary?
How is transport organised?
Which language is used for training and the safety briefing?
Phrases such as «light work», «convenient transport», and «high salary» do not replace figures. If the address, position, rate, or schedule changes after arrival, the new conditions should be obtained in writing before work begins.
The search cleaning work in Poznań for women has a separate intent and requires its own page. Cleaning is mentioned here only as one possible area of work.
These may include packing, sorting, quality inspection, labeling, and other roles with training provided. Conditions depend on the specific employer.
Such positions may be available, but you should check how much time is actually spent working while seated, whether there are additional tasks, what the productivity targets are, and whether there is rotation between workstations.
Not for every vacancy. Before applying, ask whether a permanent daytime schedule is available and whether it is possible to opt out of night shifts.
No. Some workplaces may be located in the metropolitan area. The exact address, transport fare zone, and route for your shift times are more important than the city name used in the job listing. Ask for the precise address and check the route from your accommodation for every shift.
Ask about the weight you will need to handle, how often lifting is required, the working posture, the work pace, the workplace temperature, and the length of the shift. Without these details, the word “easy” does not guarantee anything about the actual workload.
