These figures describe the industrial location, not the number of open WORKIUM vacancies, and they do not guarantee recruitment at a specific company.

Not all manufacturing addresses are concentrated at Borská pole. Offers may involve other parts of Plzeň, including the Skvrňany or Slovany areas, and sometimes neighbouring towns. A district name does not replace the exact workplace.

If an advertisement states «Plzeň», request:

1. the exact workplace;

2. the name of the district or industrial zone;

3. the accommodation address;

4. the route between the accommodation and the company;

5. the public or company transport timetable;

6. how employees return after a night or overtime shift.

Tram services have been extended to Borská pole, but in practice, what matters is not simply whether transport exists, but whether the timetable matches your shift. If work starts at 6:00, check the first service, transfers, and the time allowance before the shift begins.

The label «near Plzeň» may refer to another town. Distance in kilometres does not replace a ready-to-use route: ten kilometres without a direct service can sometimes take longer than a longer journey on one route.

How to assess the salary

In 2026, the minimum wage in the Czech Republic is 22,400 CZK gross per month or 134.40 CZK gross per hour for a 40-hour working week. This is the statutory minimum, not the average or typical rate specifically in Plzeň.

A bonus of «up to 4,000 CZK» is not a guaranteed part of income. Clarify the criteria, assessment period, payment date, and reasons it may be lost. Likewise, do not mix gross and net amounts: they are different figures.

To compare WORKIUM vacancies, use one formula: guaranteed net income minus all confirmed expenses. A higher rate may not produce a better result if accommodation is more expensive or the commute creates daily costs.

Which schedule and commute to check

Manufacturing vacancies may use two-shift, three-shift, or continuous systems. The phrase «8–12 hours» does not explain how many consecutive days must be worked, how day and night shifts alternate, or which hours are guaranteed.

Request a timetable for at least one complete cycle and check:

• the start and finish of the shifts;

• the number of working days;

• the length of breaks and whether they are paid;

• the overtime rules;

• supplements;

• transport for each shift.

Example: an eight-hour shift starts at 6:00, the bus collects employees at 4:55, and they return to the accommodation at 15:20. In that case, work occupies more than ten hours of the day once travel is included. This is the time that should be compared between vacancies.

If the company bus operates only according to the standard timetable, an employee may be left without a return route after two additional hours. Before accepting overtime, find out who pays for alternative transport.

How to compare accommodation and expenses

In Plzeň, knowing only the room price is not enough. Accommodation should be assessed together with the workplace district and schedule.

Before moving in, request written confirmation of:

• the full address;

• the monthly charge;

• the deposit and refund rules;

• utility charges;

• the number of people in the room;

• photographs of the sleeping areas, kitchen, and bathroom;

• the accommodation rules;

• the distance to the stop;

• the route and travel cost.

Calculation example: 30,000 CZK net minus 5,500 CZK for accommodation and 900 CZK for transport leaves 23,600 CZK before food and personal expenses. This is not Plzeň market statistics, but a way to compare specific offers.

The phrase «accommodation is provided» does not mean that it is free. Also clarify whether the charge is deducted from salary, whether a deposit is required, and how many days are allowed to vacate the room after employment ends.

If the accommodation changes before arrival, request the new address, photographs, price, and route. Do not accept new deductions that were not included in the conditions agreed in writing.

How to check a vacancy before departure

Collect one complete information package:

• the employer's legal name;

• the company address;

• the position and list of duties;

• the rate marked as gross or net;

• guaranteed hours;

• the formula for supplements and bonuses;

• the contract type;

• the schedule;

• accommodation and all deductions;

• transport;

• the start date;

• the coordinator's contact details.

Compare this information with the agreement. If the document names a different employer, town, position, or rate, request a corrected version before starting work.

Search for reviews using the company's legal name and the specific branch. A comment about another company under the same brand or another dormitory does not confirm your conditions.

Do not transfer money to a private card for a «place reservation» without an agreement, invoice, and refund rules. A high rate without the employer's name, exact duties, and guaranteed hours is a reason to ask additional questions.

When choosing a vacancy in Plzeň, make the final decision only after checking the route. A good rate does not compensate for a night shift that cannot be reached by transport or a commute that takes several hours every day.
